We launched in Zadar with a small group of operators who wanted a room of their own. From there we moved to Poreč, settling in at Valamar Resort and growing the audience year over year. Then COVID hit. We did what hospitality always does, adapted. HOW went online for two editions, and the family stayed the family even through a webcam. Post-pandemic we came back in person in Opatija. Then back to Zadar for the next three editions. For our tenth, we’re on the move again. New room. Same family. Same idea.

How to HOW
Getting to Novi Vinodolski
- By car — about 1h45 from Zagreb on the A1 / A6 / A7 motorway. Exit at Selce, then a short drive down the coast. Hotel parking on site.
- By plane (closest) — Rijeka Airport (RJK), on the island of Krk, is roughly 30 km / 30 minutes by taxi.
- By plane (bigger gateway) — Zagreb Airport (ZAG) is the main international hub, ~150 km / 1h45 by car or coach to the hotel.
- By bus — direct intercity lines from Zagreb, Rijeka and most major Croatian cities stop in Novi Vinodolski. The hotel is a short taxi from the bus stop.
- HOW shuttle — [optional, TBC: organised transfers from Zagreb and Rijeka airport on October 28 / return on October 30].
